Christmas and Barbies

As a kid, I always had a wish list ready which had Barbies on top of the list. Every Christmas, I would ask for a Barbie from my parents, from Santa, from the Three Kings, and from my godfathers and godmothers. I think my parents and my godparents would convene to figure out who's getting what Barbie doll for me while they were doing their Christmas shopping. I was pretty obsessed with Barbies during my entire childhood. I eventually grew out of them when I got older and became all "goth" but my mum still kept the collection and displayed it in a china cabinet in our main living room. I know that we still have them tucked away in one of our homes back in Manila today. Maybe I could ship them to the US, my new home, and share them to my daughter someday! <3

We joined forces to redesign their current website and add more features/functions to what they already have such as a store, etc.

I love redesigning websites! It gives me so much joy to transform and reorganize something (especially typical "corporate" websites) to make it more efficient and functional as well as giving it the added ooomph it needs. I love my job!

Black The Salon: Print Ads

This has been long overdue but I just wanted to share some of my recently published ads on magazines for Black The Salon.

 

This month's issue of 944 will feature yet another print ad I've designed so I need to get myself a copy. I also have to take some photos of the two huge trade show banners I've designed for the salon used at the recently concluded Malys Beauty Convention and currently displayed at the salon in Royal Oak so if you want to check it out in person - come visit Black The Salon!:)

I've been so busy lately creating more stuff such as gift cards, email blasts, etc. for my client, Black The Salon.  It's been fun though especially since I get full creative freedom to design it however I wish. It feels really nice when a client trusts your eye for design and lets you just go for it!

This is why I love my job - I get to be creative and make stuff that help people grow their business.
